NANCHANG CJ6A HISTORY

Design work for the Nanchang began in the early 1950's in China and the prototype flew in 1961.

The design became popular and was used by military airforces around the world including Albania, China, North Korea, Sri Lanka, and Zambia.

It is debated that the Nanchang CJ6a is a copy of the Russian Yak however the specifications are significantly different.

The Chinese CJ6a has become a favorite warbird for pilots and is considered a great value as it is enjoyable to fly and easy to maintain and replacement parts are obtainable.
